Freeman Homes was delighted to co-host the Fownhope Heart of Oak Society’s annual Club Walk on Saturday, 31st May – a tradition dating back to the early 1800s.
Held in honour of Oak Apple Day (29th May), historically a rural workers’ holiday, the Club Walk is a vibrant celebration featuring a walking parade, live band, and flower-decorated sticks carried by members through the village.
This year’s event was made even more special thanks to the support of some local, Herefordshire-based businesses that generously donated refreshments for our guests – Westons Cider, Two Farmers, and Tibico Fermentary.
It was a wonderful day of colour, tradition, and community – and we’re proud to have been part of it.
